Kayla is a strategic legal advisor specializing in buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate governance. Kayla represents independent sponsors, private equity funds, family offices, and strategic buyers and sellers in complex domestic and global transactions.

Prior to J2 Advisors, Kayla served as Director and Head of M&A Legal (North America) for a global private equity investment platform and advisory group. By sitting on the same side of the table as her clients, including serving on several portfolio company boards, she developed a keen ability to provide counsel that is as commercially practical as it is legally sound.

Her transition from an in-house leader to Senior Counsel allows her to act as a seamless extension of a client’s business team. Kayla is known for navigating high-stakes deals with the speed and precision required to ensure that legal strategy drives, rather than stalls, commercial momentum.

Kayla received her J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law, graduating summa cum laude and second in her class, Kayla also holds an MBA from Jacksonville University.
